Building, training and giving
Building up the church
We sometimes need to create extra time to strengthen the friendships we already have within the church - though visitors who come along to these things have enjoyed themselves too! We enjoy Sunday lunch together on a regular basis, whether a few Life Groups together at the Grace Centre or within our individual Life Groups. Life Groups will also have social evenings at times such as Christmas. Every now and then we organise a Dinner for Six weekend, when the whole church has opportunity to be matched up with a few others, some of whom they will know better than others. Meals, trips or activities happen at various times and for various groups of people – for example the Youth have had trips Ice Skating or to Alton Towers - and we encourage everyone to be hospitable in their own homes.
Although the tone of our church family is that we are seeking to be friends together, this is very much based around our life together in Jesus Christ. Therefore we also have other gatherings which are informal but which still have a clear purpose of worshipping God and seeking to know him better. Sometimes this may happen in a Men's Meeting or Ladies' Meeting, or other times in a new Christians' discipleship group. One of the highlights of our year is when the whole church enjoys a residential weekend away together: a great mixture of fun, friendship, teaching and worship for all ages.
Newfrontiers is a worldwide family of churches together on a mission, currently over 850 churches worldwide. With a passionate commitment to build the church according to New Testament principles.
