The profile of our church
Our congregation includes a number of families and households local to our meeting place, The Grace Centre. We also draw in people from a variety of different areas across the town, and further afield from places such as Horwich, Westhoughton and Darwen. We have a good age spread within our congregation: babies and toddlers, children and teenagers, and plenty in their twenties and thirties right through to some who have retired.
We include a variety of households - singles, couples and families, including some single-parent families - and a variety of occupations including students, some on benefit and seeking employment, through to those in professional positions.
Our vision is to be a church embracing many cultures, and this is developing with the help of church members who are originally from nations such as Brazil, Burundi, Congo, India, Romania, Iran, Cameroon and Zambia. We aim to put our roots down in the community around The Grace Centre, and in particular we are looking to pray for and serve both the white and ethnic minority population in our vicinity.
