Giving and special offerings

Jesus spoke on many occasions about using our money and possessions wisely and generously, so as well as giving to the regular activities of the church we sometimes have additional offerings for special needs and situations. This may be for such things as the ongoing renovation of the Grace Centre, for local needs in the community, or for contributing to a much larger offering that Newfrontiers has each year. This larger offering is for work with the poor, for church planting, and for extending apostolic work internationally. As a church we give away at least 10% of the money that we receive from our members.

Our personal connection with a church in Zambia gives us opportunity to serve the poor in a very needy context. (See 'Zambia' under the heading 'Wider links') Many have given in different ways to the Streetlife project that houses, cares for and disciples a number of children orphaned by AIDS. This includes some who are sponsoring individual children to pay for the cost of their education. Together with other churches in the UK we have developed income-generating projects for the church there, funded initially by the giving of church members.

Newfrontiers is a worldwide family of churches together on a mission, currently over 850 churches worldwide. With a passionate commitment to build the church according to New Testament principles.
