Training and conferences

Once people have been in the church for a while we invite them onto our Vision & Values course. This is four sessions (always involving food of some sort too!) which give an overview of our roots and history as a church, our vision for the future, and some key Biblical values which are an essential part of our foundations.

Our Life Group leaders get together regularly for training, encouragement and prayer, and from time to time we will put on some training sessions on various aspects of church life that everyone is invited to, for example equipping in personal evangelism.

Bigger events also take place in a regional or national setting:

• In our region we have participated in training for leaders or for those involved in music and worship. We help to organise an annual Bible Camp for Junior School-aged children, held at Bonsall in Derbyshire.
• Our Youth join several thousand other young people from Newfrontiers churches across the country at an annual Bible Camp called Newday. Students & Twenties are invited to attend a similar conference called Mobilise.
• A large number from the church attend the annual North Bible Camp in Yorkshire, attended by over 2000 delegates from across the North of the UK and beyond.

Newfrontiers is a worldwide family of churches together on a mission, currently over 850 churches worldwide. With a passionate commitment to build the church according to New Testament principles.
